The Veg heads competition was a fantastic success with over 100 entries, providing photographic proof that people all over England are indeed growing their own produce. It gained coverage earlier in the year on the telegraph.co.uk website. In a short survey on nationaltrust.org.uk/vegheads , 85% of respondents said they would definitely grow their own food [...]

Within this search the role of ESW is to explore and demonstrate a wide range of alternatives, communicating to other people the options for them to achieve positive change in their own lives.
Inspiring - instilling the desire to change by practical example
Informing - feeding the desire to change by providing the most appropriate information on renwables
Enabling - providing effective and continuing support to put the change into practice.
ESW has a holistic approach to its work, integrating ideas and practice relating to land use, shelter, energy conservation and use, diet and health, waste management and recycling.

The Government has set targets for the number of UK households that will have installed solar panels to their home. Contrary to popular believe the UK has over 65% of the radiation that Spain receives which is more than enough to guarantee a the function of a Solar PV system. With the Government's feed-in tariff in place that allows an income to be produced from installing solar energy the number of homes that rely soley on solar power is set to rise.
